Communication and language skills are vitally important to interact with the world and can be especially challenging to learn when hearing access is limited. Deaf and hard of hearing students often struggle with communication skills without multiple supports and opportunities. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist who works with deaf and hard of hearing students in a dual language school - students have access to education in American Sign Language and spoken English modalities. We service students ages Pre-K through high school with Technical & Transitional Training for students up to age 21. In addition to written and visual language skills, and speech skills, I work with students to promote their life skills and social emotional needs. Thank you for your time and consideration in looking at my materials request in order for me to improve the quality of services and resources my students have available to them.
