Our classroom is the second learning environment for pre-k students (Home being the first). We structure our day around whole group activities on the carpet and small groups during centers. Additionally, we do gross motor in our classroom when there is inclement weather. The materials I am requesting will help my pre-k students enjoy their circle/meeting time. We are constantly transitioning from the carpet to the our tables or centers. The classroom rug is an integral part of our Pre-K day as this where we do turn a talk activities, listen to many fun stories and start our literacy practices. We also use the rug for dance and yoga. Additionally, we use the rugs for our math and science activities as we do bar graphs and sit in a circle to explore new things before interacting with them at centers. Our rug is currently too small. We are doing the best we can but would greatly appreciate your contributions!
