My students are a very culturally diverse group, with students in our district speaking over 60 different languages. Most students (greater than 75%) are from families that struggle economically. Many are also English language learners and mixed in with these are also gifted and talented students. What they all have in common is a need to take part and be involved in the learning process. At our urban school we have a lot of pride in our accomplishments which are achieved by everyone working towards a common goal - excellence!
