We currently have class sizes of 28 -30 students. Students have to share weathered copies of this book and often we need to make photocopies of the entire book for each to have their own. Funding this project will allow each child their own copy of "Schooled" that they will be able to read in class as well as take home. This will allow students the opportunity to practice their reading at home as well as increase their ability to comprehend text. Furthermore, it will allow them to continue building on past success in ELA. In the past, copies of this text were regularly provided to students. However, due to budget constraints our district is no longer able to provide them to us.
