"A book is a device to ignite the imagination." ~ Alan Bennett. We need a classroom library that meets their needs and interests. Our titles include Sports Illustrated Kids, diary of a Wimpy Kid, Magic Tree House set, My Weird School Days set and more. The books included in this project will supplement our classroom library. My goal is to have more interesting and engaging literature within arms reach of my students that covers various topics and genres specifically requested by them. Reading proficiency touches every part daily life. Our classroom is actively engaged in the Accelerated Reader program. To meet our individual quarterly goals, my students must read challenging books and then provide evidence of comprehension. Having inviting books available in our classroom library will support fluency, mastery and instill a life-long love of reading.
