Good communication skills are the key to success in life. My goal as my students Speech Language Pathologist is to prepare them to be successful in the school setting and out in the community. Due to the national pandemic, I am required to provide services virtually. My goal is to make therapy exciting and purposeful. For my students to participate in an online format, I need the resources to make therapy engaging and functional. I believe that speech and language therapy should be fun, functional and interactive. The books that I have chosen will target a variety of expressive and receptive language goals as well as social communication goals. The wiggle seats will help some of my students who are currently struggling with attention and focus during distance learning. These seats will provide them with the sensory input that their body needs in order to learn. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to purchase digital materials that target specific goals that are fun, functional, and engaging. I use Teachers Pay Teachers often for speech materials so these will be activities that my students will be able to enjoy for many, many years.
