The items chosen in my project were supplies that I need to finish the setup of my classroom. As a first-year teacher who just moved into a brand new state, the supplies I have for students are low. Alongside supplies, the items I would like to make our classroom feel like home are also low. I have supplies on my list that would be useful for students to not have to bring in themselves, as 41% of the students at Flora M. Singer have free or reduced lunch. The items are also full of supplies that I can use to organize our space and make our room comfortable when it might not always feel that way in a new space with a new teacher!
