My amazing students are energetic second graders who come to school each day with an eagerness to learn. Our school is located in a highly populated area in the city of Chicago. Most of my students come from low income households where English is their secondary language. Our classroom culture is built on a strong foundation of growth mindset, and our knowledge grows through our daily practice in all content areas. Not only are we learning to become smarter each day, but we are also learning how to become kind and thoughtful community members. This year, we will continue using personalized learning to facilitate daily activities, as our space is limited. This will also help individualize goals we set throughout the year to ensure we reach each students' needs at their own levels.
