Under law, Education Specialists are required to keep private documents, such as an IEP, in a locked and safe cabinet. Our district cannot afford to purchase one for our classroom, so all of our sensitive documents are sent to the district office. This makes it quite inconvenient when we need to look up information at a moments notice, or just file any type of document in our classroom. This filing cabinet will house IEP's, student emergency information, classroom work samples, and handouts for parents such as sick policies and "ouch" reports. Providing a safe and secure place for documents will help us and our students maintain a well run and organized classroom. Often times, districts that are cash strapped cannot provide even the basics for their teachers, as much as they would like to. We would be grateful for any help fulfilling this basic classroom need.
