Your generosity is making a truly meaningful difference for my students that have special needs, who work incredibly hard each day to build their skills in reading, writing, and math.\r\n\r\nThe resources you helped provide are already transforming the way my students learn. Many of my students need opportunities to revisit essential concepts in fun, multisensory, and accessible ways. These new materials give them the chance to practice skills through movement, visuals, storytelling, and play. The Phonics Series is really helping students memorize difficult sounds (soft c, soft g, etc.) and solidify some spelling rules that they had a hard time memorizing. \r\n\r\nBecause of your support students who are normally resistant to reading chapter books are actually excited to read because they can access the books! The Task cards are helping instill comprehension skills in a fun and exciting way especially when we turn it into a game. The students have been so engaged in math learning games, especially the math fluency facts Jenga games. It is helping them remember their math fluency facts in a fun and engaging way. I've seen so much more engagement and readiness to learn using these tools that meet students at their levels without looking like they are for younger children. \r\n\r\nYour contribution is not just adding materials to a classroom; it is creating moments of confidence, belonging, and possibility for children who often need extra encouragement. You are helping them experience learning in ways that feel achievable and exciting.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of my students and our entire classroom community, thank you for choosing to invest in their futures. Your kindness is giving them the chance to feel capable, valued, and proud of their progress every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1758831620804,"projectUrl":"project/special-education-teacher-needs-phonics/9627234/","projectTitle":"Special Education Teacher Needs Phonics and Math Resources","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reidelbach","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4722944"},{"teacherId":10294245,"projectId":9776014,"letterContent":"The students use these books almost every day as part of our literacy centers. This gives them a chance to both improve their penmanship and have a 15 minute brain break during a time in the day where their focus is wavering. \r\n\r\nSince getting these books, I have noticed some students have improved their letters and started drawing them the right way. Most notably, students that were butchering the letter e have made huge improvements. \r\n\r\nOverall, the handwriting in my class has gotten neater, and I really appreciate these resources you have provided for my students.","fullyFundedDate":1760129242913,"projectUrl":"project/handwriting-helpers/9776014/","projectTitle":"Handwriting Helpers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gonor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10294245_orig.jpg?crop=2156,2156,x1013,y1142&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1759188456491","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10294245"},{"teacherId":10234334,"projectId":9667144,"letterContent":"Thank you again for your generous donation to my STEAM enrichment classes for TK–2nd grades at Bellevue Union School District. The children were thrilled to use Hot Wheels and create tracks to explore math and science concepts for their grade level. The cars were a hit, and the students couldn't wait to come each week. We plan to bring the materials back in the spring to reinforce these concepts and deepen their understanding of math.\r\n\r\nI still hear students using words like \"gravity,\" \"slide,\" \"roll,\" and \"inclined plane.\" In second grade, they're beginning to see why standard measurement is important and are starting to understand the differences between standard and metric units. They also learned how to organize data and make data tables, like estimating which car would go the furthest.\r\n\r\nI hope you enjoy the attached photos of students having fun and learning. One district goal, supported by the state, is to increase student attendance, and these engaging, hands-on activities encourage students to participate regularly.","fullyFundedDate":1756773880800,"projectUrl":"project/hot-wheels-and-tracks-inspire-tk-2nd-gra/9667144/","projectTitle":"Hot Wheels and Tracks Inspire Tk-2nd Graders in Steam","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Akinshin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10234334"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_5114","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":424,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":81,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":83,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"21.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":83.9,"schoolId":5114,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Meadow View Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Meadow View Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/bellevue-union-school-district/meadow-view-elementary-school/5114"}
