I am a third year kindergarten teacher in one of the most dangerous cities on the east coast. School is a safe heaven for my kids to feel respected and loved while getting an education they deserve. We are a public charter school in an inner-city neighborhood with very limited funding. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. I currently have 26, five and six year olds in my classroom. Luckily we currently have four kindles that I bought with my money during Christmas and have seen amazing progress within my students.They are striving and reaching new heights however I feel they are capable of much more and I would really like to give them the opportunity they deserve.
