In the AP Language American Dream unit, students choose from a selection of both classic and modern books that explore what the American Dream means for different populations. Help me diversify my reading selections by providing contemporary books by women of color to add more voices to the American experience! By providing these novels and the tools for marking the text, our students will be more engaged and successful in exploring the legacy of the American Dream. These books are both critically acclaimed and often found in reading lists about the American Dream but are unavailable in our book room. I'd love to add them to my classroom library.
