When my students start this school year there is going to be a lot of uncertainty and questions that I may not have answers to. The world is changing and our children are experiencing it now, and will be for a long time. Regardless of what is happening outside of our community, my students will believe that the world is at their finger prints. I want this school year to be one that's more than computer screens and online worksheets. My students deserve a school year that is full of laughter, explorations, and new beginnings. With these supplies, I can show my students what it truly means to be part of a family, whether we are inside or outside the classroom. In second grade, we work on reading and math goals that require a lot of hands on materials. The resources that I have requested will allow my students to work on projects, activities and experiments in all subjects. For Reading this year, the resources will allow students to explore new texts and discover the main idea of various poems, stories and articles. Both the Math and Science curriculums have a lot of projects that include the students' creativity side. The resources will allow my students to explore these new concepts and ideas. When we do return to the classroom, I want to be as prepared as I can to ensure my students excel and grow in second grade this year.
