My students live in a high-poverty neighborhood in New York. They love learning about science, and especially enjoy when they are able to conduct hands-on experiments. Unfortunately, they have had limited experiences with scientific equipment, and the school is unable to provide the technology needed to help scientific concepts come to life. My students have big dreams of becoming veterinarians, doctors, and even astronauts, but need a solid foundation on which to begin those journeys.

About my class
