This year, I will have about forty third grade students. We have over 1100 students in the school, grades PK-8. Westside K-8 is a Title 1 School with a school grade of a C. The students in my classroom range from 1st grade to 4th grade reading levels. The students as well as myself all come different backgrounds and types of families including families with low education and economic status. I maintain that my classroom is a very diverse 'family' in the classroom and strive to make sure all students' needs are met.

About my class
