These books and these cushions already have a home in my classroom - I've been building up my own collection of books and comics slowly for years, and making my classroom warm and welcoming as teachers do. But it's a lot of work and a lot of my own money. I'm asking here for a bit of help. To motivate my students to want to read, I want to implement a reader's workshop model with these comic books. A variety of superheroes would also allow me to represent a diversity that better reflects my students' diverse origins and life experiences. As a new teacher in this school and this state, it would be a great help to be able to build up my bookshelves.
