My students are a group of diverse and absolutely delightful 9th graders. It being the beginning of the year, they have high hopes and low expectations for their science class. Many are coming into my class with little or no past success in science. They need space to interact with scientific concepts in a creative and more engaging way than traditional note-taking and sense-making.
