First Graders are extremely curious about the world around them, and have a talent for using technology. I will be moving to a new school this year and would like my students to have daily access to Chromebooks and online learning resources. These Chromebooks will be used in the classroom to help support the academic growth of my students in literacy, technology, and math. The laptops will be used during our Language Arts rotation as well as Math rotations. My students will engage in specific learning resources which will help personalize their learning. By donating to this project my students will be given access to the important tools they need to individualize their learning and help them achieve their own personalized academic goals. First Graders are eager to soak up information given to them and by allowing them access to technology in an educational setting, I will be allowing them to strive towards academic growth in reading as well as math. My school has a high population of English Language Learners and by providing them opportunities to learn through technology, I know they go beyond their personalized goals and make huge gains in language skills. Schools prepare children for the future and technology is a huge part of our future. In order to ensure my students are prepared for their educational future, with these laptops and accessories, I will be able to give them wonderful hands-on learning experiences through technology.
