The multicultural crayons, markers, paper, and paint will provide the opportunities for students to feel more included during drawing and art lessons. A lot of work done in the classroom requires students to draw pictures to illustrate their writing, and I want my students to be able to depict themselves and their peers in a more accurate way. I have hear my students say, "What color am I?" as they hold up a peach or brown crayon, and I want to teach them that there are more than just 2 skin colors. People come in a variety of skin colors and I want my students to see themselves being represented everywhere, even in their coloring supplies. Your donations will not only fund this project, but , but will help students see color as well.
