At Robert B. Pollock School, I proudly teach students with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as other disabilities. As residents of Philadelphia, many of my students live under the poverty line and do not have access to many resources when they go home. School is a place where they can be safe and engage in their own learning process. Despite their disabilities and the adversity they face in their own community, my students come to school ready to learn and work hard each day. Our AS team, which includes four AS teachers, and many therapists, work tirelessly to collaborate and ensure that students have what they need to reach their highest potential and progress on their individual goals. Any and all donations will directly benefit students who have autism and/or other disabilities, live under the poverty line, and do not have access to necessary resources.
