My students will benefit from these materials because they will be able to experience some things that they would not be able to otherwise. They will be able to Skype with professionals who may give them motivation and ideas on how to achieve their goals and they will be able to research subjects and places that they may not have been able to otherwise. Having these laptops will enable my students to work independently or with others to learn new or exciting things. Being able to use these laptops to reach out to other students across the world will also help them to understand their place in the global community. Seeing how other students in other communities and countries live is an important part of their lives because they are growing up in a global community. Through this, they will also be able to develop important skills needed for online communication as well as communication across cultures.
