I am establishing the Physics & Computing program in an amazing public charter school in rural California. My school prepares historically underserved youths to attend college, many whom would be the first in their families to attend college. After 7 years and 5 temporary locations, my school finally settled into our first permanent building, one that my students can call home. Due to constant relocations, my students were never able to experience a hands-on learning science class. Nevertheless, they are ever so curious and enthusiastic at learning about our natural world. This year, the first graduating class are taking Physics for the first time. My goal is to get students fired up about physics and that means providing an experience to learn about science through hands-on learning, not just reading it through text. Help bring the physical laws and principles come to live in my classroom. Thank you!
