Since the pandemic, my students have been limited to digital tools and assignments. While technology integration is crucial to learning 21st Century skills, my students are not retaining the information and are losing their note taking skills. Research shows that handwriting improves memory and retention and also develops different parts of the brain. I am hoping to use these erasable notebooks to integrate hand written notes/ activities and education technology. My students themselves, have expressed the desire to return to pen and paper, and these notebooks will satisfy that craving for normalcy. These are erasable notebooks that integrate cloud uploading and can improve retention and learning by incorporating handwritten notes/assignments. I have chosen the least expensive, 8.5x11 standard sized Rocketbook! My students will be able to write their notes, complete activities and other various assignments. Upload them, from the notebook, directly into Microsoft OneNote, Google Drive, and then wipe the page clean to reuse in another class, or for another assignment. Seamlessly merging education technology and traditional instruction.
