My students love puzzles and learning math in fun and engaging ways. This project would allow my students to have a more authentic Escape Room experience as they solve puzzles and become better mathematicians. Students work collaboratively to solve real world math problems, while competing against other groups to ultimately become the first to "escape." Each challenge brings them closer to to "escaping" by revealing a code. These codes allow students to open a lock on the lockout hasp, one by one, until the students eventually open the final lock and reveal the prize contained within the box and win the challenge! Supplying students with locks and lock boxes would make the experience more real and engaging.
