I love teaching high school English at a historically African-American high school in the South. My classroom is full of inquisitive, witty, and resilient students studying in rigorous programs like AVID and the International Baccalaureate Programme. They are highly engaged learners who learn to speak and write profoundly about everything from Hamlet to Malcolm X. Especially when provided with the support of their peers, teachers, families and community, they seize opportunities and thrive.

About my class

I love teaching high school English at a historically African-American high school in the South.
