The benefits of ride-on toys (bicycles etc.) with proper equipment are huge. The brain of a child is constantly learning, changing and growing. Some habits children develop during outdoor play are gross and fine motor skills, exercise, exploration, a sense of balance, spatial awareness, and how to play. This is why it is especially important to protect them. Helmets are key in the proper use of the riding scooters and bikes. Falls and accidents may happen, but the simple act of wearing a helmet can drastically lessen the likelihood of a serious injury. This early introduction to helmets promotes the healthy habit that will protect them throughout their lives.
