I believe that the best way to get students to be interested in reading is to provide them options so that they have a choice in the matter. With this project, I am hoping to give them that choice. I am a first year teacher with no classroom library to speak of, and I want my students to have a wealth of titles so that they can pick something that they are interested in--so that they can be excited about their reading rather than dejected that they must complete it. This will be the bedrock of what I hope will one day be an expansive library at my disposal so that my students will always have a book they are excited to open.
