Many of my students do not attend to instruction and process information through traditional means. Opportunities for movement are necessary to help students focus on the task at hand. Individualized education plans for many of my students require them to receive nearly sixty minutes of individualized instruction daily in the areas of math and reading. This is a lot of time to ask students who struggle in math or reading to attend to an non preferred task. By providing students with Runtz Ball Chairs to use while they receive specially designed instruction in reading and math, students will receive the sensory input needed to help promote self-regulation for students where traditional seating methods do not promote learning. Runtz Ball Chairs will help to improve students' focus on academic tasks, posture and balance, and sensory regulation.
