Students read in my class every single day, and they rarely bring their own books with them. With cushions, a couch, and pillows, the classroom library is a cozy and welcoming environment meant to make students feel comfortable and content while they read. Having a rich and diverse classroom library (both in genre and representation) will offer students more choice in what they read, and it will also offer them better choices in what they read. Just enjoying reading and wanting to read more is the foundation students need to become successful and thriving learners, and this classroom library will help get them there.
