I have been teaching Kindergarten for 5 years. I was rated a Highly Effective educator by East Baton Rouge Parish School System. I enjoy teaching Kindergarten because the immense amount of joy that overcomes you when a child has their "Aha!" moment in the middle of you pouring your heart out using a lesson plan that took you 4 hours to write is a feeling that is UNMATCHED. The way you receive scholars in comparison to the way they leave you as they are promoted to First Grade is immediately gratifying.
