My students are in need of hand bells to play during class and cases to keep them in good condition so children at Carencro Heights can use them for years to come. These instruments will allow my students to accompany themselves when they sing. They will even be able to improvise original accompaniments to songs they sing in class! My students will be also able to collaborate to create and perform their own original melodies using these instruments. Hand bells will also allow them to work together to learn, rehearse, and perform new music. Hand bells are pitched instruments. Access to pitched instruments will help my students learn to read music notation, an essential skill for their future success in band or chorus.
