Coming to school is the highlight of most of my students' day. School provides a consistent place where they feel loved and supported. I have students from various backgrounds, but with the same statistics. 90-95 percent of my students receive free or reduced lunch with a free universal breakfast program. My students are 85-90 percent minority. The resources and extra support is limited. Being one of the "promise" schools is an added bonus to achieve personal learning goals.
