Our school is in a low poverty area. My students range from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Some of the students in my classroom are on the autism spectrum and sensory time is one of the most essential times of our day. Even though they struggle with fine motor tasks, sensory, communication and social/emotional values, they are always willing to try their very best. My students love hands-on activities. They are highly energetic, funny, and caring students. Being the Social Communication Tech for our school, I am able to provide my students the sensory time they need in my classroom. Sensory time is one of the most essential times of our day. My students love lights, strobes, sticky, gooey, bumpy and anything sensory seeking. My little sensory seekers crave sensory!
