After spending an entire year virtually, our school's Project Lit Book Club is back and better than ever! Our Project Lit Leaders (7th and 8th graders) are excited to engage new sixth graders in the club with a spooky tale of friendship and a tale of food and family. Hide and Seeker by Deka Harmon and From the Desk of Zoe Washington by Janae Marks. They chose these stories because they already love them and know these dynamic, exciting stories will bring in new members and even reluctant readers! The club does more than just improve reading levels; it builds friendships and community across grade levels and cultures by empowering students to choose stories of personal significance. We were able to stay connected virtually but with your donations we are ready to hit the ground running and continue making those deep connections in person.
