I have a class of 16 students. I work in an urban area where parent involvement is at an all time low. I have about 10 students who struggle tremendously in reading. Time to read with them is very limited. My students love to use technology and I figured why not assist them with a listening center or technology . Many of my students do not reside with their birth parents, they are either in an orphanage or in custody of others. It can be difficult trying to reach those students who are already going through so much at home. My school is a Title 1 school with very limited resources. My administrators do their best to order things that the school needs but it is hard to get what I need especially for my own class. I have more boys in my class than girls and they are all African American. Keeping them engaged can be difficult but its my goal to materials to help them with that! Thanks to all the donors who help!
