As we live in a time when the world-wide and nation-wide events impact our daily lives, it is more important than ever to understand what goes on in the world around us. Scholastic News Magazine is an amazing resource for students to learn about current events, using an age appropriate text. They are colorful, and something that the students always look forward to reading. Your donations will provide my students with a very in depth way of learning about science and social studies. Not only will students practice their reading skills, they will begin to learn how to be intelligent consumers of news and develop their critical thinking skills.
