I work with an amazing set of students in an urban community that is historically underserved. These students come to class with the weight of the world on their shoulders and I somehow need to convince them that photosynthesis, DNA, or evolution really does matter; but I love what I do and who I teach. Systemic issues have placed many constraints on what is and is not possible to accomplish in my classroom, for this reason I am looking for outside help to better the quality of my students' education.

About my class
