I would like to purchase ukuleles for my classroom so that I can provide a hands-on experience for students to learn how to read and recognize chord changes. Last year, the ukulele allowed my 6th graders to work at their own individual pace. By the end of the year, my classes were able to perform songs on ukulele for our concert. Sadly due to budget cuts, we are no longer working with the program that provided ukuleles. My soon to be sixth graders are expecting to play ukulele this school year, and I don't want them to lose this opportunity.
