Hello! I am in my 7th year teaching. I started off with teaching Kindergarten for 3 years and I am in my 4th year teaching 2nd grade. Teaching is definitely a difficult, but very rewarding job. I teach at Hi-Mount Community school in Milwaukee-Wisconsin. Our school has a very high poverty rate. It has been difficult to provide for my students everything I want them to have. I cannot afford to keep spending my own money on the important and necessary items we need to have a successful school year. I want to provide my students with fun and engaging activities and remind them that learning is exciting. Early childhood is a time when we still NEED to 'play' as we learn social skills and how to be a friend to others. I believe that with the appropriate materials and support, my classroom would be an even more fun place to be. :)
