Many, many of my students this year believe--I think mistakenly--that they *hate* reading. I know the truth, which is that all they really need is to find the right book to fall in love with. Your donations will go to support the purchase of sets of books to use in engaging book clubs for my small reading groups. These books reflect the choices of my students, whom I asked to give me suggestions before placing this order. Some of the requested books are high-interest graphic novels. These books are a true lifeline to those kids who are below grade-level, as the illustrations can support their comprehension of what they're reading.
