We are requesting a Tee-Pee, pillows and throw which will help us create to be a cool down zone for my students - especially my students with IEPs. We are also asking for crates, a laminator, dry erase markers and boards. I am a first year teacher so these materials are important to help me build a classroom culture where my students feel like they can be safe, relaxed and loved. Do you remember some classrooms you had when you were younger? Some of my favorites were the one where I could sit on the floor, on a couch or in a hut. Many of my students with IEP's (special needs) need an area to relax; and this carpet & Tee-Pee will help give them the ability to do that. Helping me buy a laminator will allow me to keep posters, boards and students work for years to come! The dry erase boards and markers will help me increase students participation, and their academic ownership. I know my students would take care of these items, and would greatly appreciate these gifts to our classroom. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
