My students’ favorite center is their dramatic play area. They love to pretend to cook meals, dress up as community helpers, and tell stories with puppets. I want to be able to give my students the opportunity to learn and engage through the Art of performing. The number one item they are missing is having a space where they can retell their stories for an audience. We read stories all throughout the day, but have no space where they can retell what they read. By giving them an area where they can put on puppet shows, their imaginations can run wild!
