Small group instruction is apart of our daily routine in my classroom. Due to students having to sit socially distant in the classroom, there is limited space for my co-teacher and I to both work with our small groups. Recently, I have been working with my struggling students outside the classroom, for majority of the school day, using the classroom door and poster paper to teach. Through these small group instructional times, my struggling learners have shown more attentiveness, engagement, participation and understanding in the lessons being taught. The mobile whiteboard and portable lap desks will allow me to continue teaching my students in a small group outside the classroom while keeping them engaged in the lesson. By donating to my project, you will help to continue student engagement through these small group lessons, as well as help my struggling students reach their academic goals.
