These scholars are an energetic bunch. There are 8 boys and 1 girl in the class. They range from grades 2nd Through 5th. My scholars have special needs - primarily dealing with severe behavior issues, emotional disturbances, and autism. Many of my kids are dealing with the after effects of fetal alcohol syndrome. Many of them come from single parent homes where mom or dad have to work so they are responsible for siblings. We are a family-they fight amongst themselves but will band together if anyone else tries to go against them. Our school services grades Pre-K through 8 and is located in an urban, low income area. The kids in our school are no longer referred to as students but as scholars, who will go to college. We are a Dual Language English/Spanish school. Would you consider helping us?
