The majority of the materials that are on the list are chosen with the intent of enhancing students' STEM experience. The STEM activities and materials are a vital component in my classroom that I am in dire need of supplies for. These activities will introduce my students to engineering concepts and will help in developing a STEM mindset, which is to encourage curiosity, elicit exploration and experimentation, nudge on the discovery, and develop critical thinking skills. The STEM activities will be encouraged to all students regardless of race, class, or gender. I want to give my students the chance to explore STEM at a young age since many students of color do not have the opportunities to do so. I know my students will be thrilled to get their hands on these materials and I can't wait for them to become our next future engineers!
