My students come from high poverty areas. My school is a Tier I Title I school and is focused on high school graduation. In order to focus on that goal myself, I need to make sure my students care about their work and what is expected of them. For the most part, my students love coming to school, but we need a little bit more in order to keep them interested in their learning. I want to instill in my students the belief that everyone can learn, regardless of where they come from or who their parents are. I want them to be as proud of themselves as I am of them. My students need someone to believe in them, and I am that person for them a lot of the times. Technology is a hot commodity in education, and is something that is desperately needed in classrooms.
