The library is a key source in getting our students to read. With your help and donations to our school this will allow us to bring in valuable new books that will enhance the educational experience for our students. Our school has an "Accelerated Reading" program in place so the books we choose for our library are specific to that program. Each child has a book range they can read in. These books give the children the opportunity to earn points towards their reading goals. The kids love being challenged and reaching their goals. The children are announced and rewarded at morning ceremonies each week. The books I have requested will assist us in getting books into children's hands to improve their reading skills, fluency and reach these goals. These books will further play an important role in developing their young minds through a variety of genres. Getting our students to read is a valuable life lesson that will last a life time by building their knowledge base that will be with them throughout their whole lives. I am requesting a wide range of popular literature titles that will tempt our students into our library more often.
