This quote by Piaget sums it up: "The principle goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done." In order to provide my students with opportunities to learn in ways that will translate to success in an ever-changing world, I'm on a quest to provide them with technological devices that will empower them on their journey. With iPads in the classroom , they will be better able to create projects, utilize the many free learning games, blog to generate higher-level learning, skype with classrooms around the world, read books electronically, as well as communicate their ideas in ways that make sense to them instead of the old paper and pencil of the old ways. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home, and are hungry to feel that school is more than just a place you are required to go.
