It is my first year in this classroom, and I immediately noticed some missing aspects that I find important for a Pre-K classroom. I was very pleased to see many language arts and math games, but then I noticed that building toys and manipulatives were lacking! Where were the train tracks? Doll house? Magnet tiles? Playstix? These particular toys are not only top favorites to Pre-K kids, but they also aid in their education and development as well! According to NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), adequate block centers help with problem solving, imagination, self-expression, spacial sense, motor abilities, social-emotional growth, and more! Help me build up an engaging and fun block center for my young students!
