Our school boasts one of the most dynamic student bodies in Chicago with almost 2400 strong and growing! We are a neighborhood school that is rich in diversity and has transformed over the past couple of years. While the majority of our students come from low-income families, that has not deterred their ambition and overall success. Not only is student enrollment up, but so are college acceptance and graduation rates as we continue to expand our college-bound culture. There is also a greater sense of pride and school spirit here. This is becoming a school that students love and they want to share their experiences and success stories with those out there that still see our school in a negative light. Our motto is, "A block long and a world-wide," and now that we are getting the International Baccalaureate Program, our students can continue to flourish as the reflective, open-minded, principled citizens we know they can be.
